How do I place an order?
Abe's Of Maine offers various options for placing an order, so it can be most convenient to our customers.
  • You can order online any time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Use our navigation system or search feature (located at the top right of the page) to find the product you're searching for. Our new and improved navigation system allows you to filter your results, helping you find products with ease. Desired products can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the "Add to Cart" button, continue with secure checkout by following the instructions and filling out your information. Abe's of Maine accepts various forms of payment.
  • Feel free to contact us toll free at (800) 992-2237 / (800) 339-2237 and speak to one of our well-informed salesmen who'll be eager to answer questions about our products.
  • Abe's of Maine may not be held responsible for any specification/price/feature errors.
What methods of payment does Abe's of Maine accept?
Abe's of Maine accepts all major credit cards including, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Diners Club. We also accept Government purchase orders. Information, such as your current billing address and phone number are required in order to avoid any delays in processing your order. Please allow 24-72 Hours for processing on all orders. Once your order is verified and ready to ship, we then charge your credit card. .
  • Money orders should be made out in US dollars.
  • Personal and Company checks are acceptable when issued by a US bank.
  • Purchase Orders are accepted, subject to verification and approval by our Credit Department at (800) 992-2379.
  • Wire transfers are made possible by our Credit Dept. as well. Please call the above number for procedure guidance.
Other than what I see on-line, what additional costs should I expect?
Total charges will include precisely what is indicated on our web site. It will comprise of the items ordered, plus shipping and handling, based on shipping location. A local sales tax will be calculated on the total order of your merchandise when shipped in New Jersey. Resale certificates and tax exempt forms should be faxed to our Credit Department at (732) 379 -5026. No sales tax will be applied to orders shipped out of New Jersey.
How do I calculate shipping rates?
All shipping rates are calculated in the shopping cart based on the items in the shopping cart and shipping destination. All parcels are shipped ground shipping unless an upgrade shipping method is requested. Your total charges will be shown to you before you enter any information (IE. name, address, etc.)
What shipping restrictions do you impose for orders shipped within the US?
Abe's of Maine can ship to any business or residential area as long as a physical address is provided and the order passes all of our security regulations. All packages, regardless of its destination, require signature at time of delivery. Delays should be expected with all parcels going to PO Boxes. Shipments going to hotels, or motels, must be prepaid, either by wire transfer or with a money order issued by a US bank. Shipping rates are based on ZIP code locations and calculated in shopping cart prior to checkout. Abe's of Maine reserves the right to hold and/or delay any order indefinitely due to suspicion of fraudulent activity. We are required to charge NJ sales tax to all orders shipped within the state of NJ. We do not accept resale certificates. We do accept Tax exempt certificates from Non-Profit organizations.

Because of the growing concerns of Internet fraud and the imperfect process of verifying International Orders, we have made certain requirements necessary in order to complete orders billed or shipped overseas:

  • Only Wire Transfer can be used for overseas orders, excluding Canada and Mexico.
  • No orders will be shipped out if verification cannot be confirmed, regardless of destination country.
    International orders are subject to additional shipping charges, and generally take 7-10 days from date of shipment to arrive, depending on the customs procedures of the destination country. Please check with your country's customs office for precise charges. The Shipment Carrier (UPS, Fed Ex and Airborne Express) prepays these charges before shipment is commenced. Abe's Of Maine assumes no responsibility with respect to these procedures or any tariffs, duties, or other such restrictions and charges imposed and/or enforced by the destination country. If the order is refused the customer is responsible for both duties incurred at the border of the respective country and shipment back to the U.S.
    At this time all Laptop orders must have a billing AND shipping address within the continental U.S.
    Please be aware that shipping costs are estimates and are subject to change. Even if the order is verified, UPS or FEDEX may charge more to ship your item due to its Size/Weight or destination country. If this occurs, we will contact you with other shipment options. You have the right to cancel the order if this occurs.
  • Any order confirmation (electronic or paper receipt) given to you through Abe's of Maine does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of an offer to sell. Abe's of Maine reserves the right to decline and cancel an order, or supply less than quantity ordered at any time.
  • Ground shipping only applies to Lower 48 States. Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska & Canada must select 2-3 day shipping
How do I check the status of my order or change information on an existing order?
All credit/debit cards are charged within 24 hours of when an order is placed, pending verification. 1-2 business days should be allotted before calling (800) 992-2379 to check status of your order. Order status and on-line tracking information is now available by clicking the Tracking link on the top of the page. To make any type of changes on your order after it has already been processed call our customer service department at (800) 992-2379 ext. 2.
What service is included with the shipping rates for Televisions on Abe's of Maine?
Today's TVs are sophisticated and delicate pieces of electronic equipment. We primarily use 3 methods of shipment, each with its own unique options.

1. For smaller TVs we use UPS (There are several time and shipping method options available depending upon the specific TV)

2. Larger TVs are shipped using Icat Ground Services (7-10 business days) or Icat Expedited Services (3-5 business days) which include two options detailed below.

A. Threshold Delivery: If you are scheduled for a threshold delivery your television will not be brought into your home. Please note that the bottom of the box may be dirty. The delivery driver will bring your television as close to your door as possible without physically lifting or navigating up or down any stairs.

B. White Glove Delivery: A 2-person delivery team will be entering your home with your shipment, unless you'd prefer otherwise. Be prepared to indicate where you would like them to place your shipment prior to their arrival. Please keep in mind the delivery team is not contracted to do any installations or move furniture, however they will remove the packaging unless otherwise directed. You can expect the delivery team to remove the product from the box outside your entryway. Please prepare an area within your home that has adequate protection from the box staining your floor or carpet since the bottom of the box may be dirty.

Abesofmaine.com is not responsible for any delays caused by affiliated shipping carriers, please be aware that delivery times are estimated and no guaranteed.

All packages are inspected for damages before they ship from our warehouse.

What exclusions apply to the "Free Ground Shipping" Promotion?
Free ground shipping offer is not available for international orders, or orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or any other destination requiring air service by water. Please call for price quote on shipping.

At Abe's of Maine, we are constantly working to update product information on our website. Due to the continual expansion of the market and certain manufacturer's restrictions, we are sometimes unable to list our entire catalog. What if I want more information about a product than what is displayed online?
Most of the products on our website have detailed description accompanied by pictures, which are continuously being updated. If any further information is required, manufacturer's web links can be accessed directly.
How secure is the Abe's of Maine checkout?
Abe's of Maine has a VeriSign certificate assuring that all information entered is encrypted and cannot be accessed by any outsider. All transactions are 100% secure. You can be fully assured that none of the provided information will be sold or imparted for trade or sale. Our customer's satisfaction has been our priority since 1979.

To Review an item, go to that items product page, and then click the link to write a review. You will then be prompted to review your product. The review that you submit may be posted on Abesofmaine.com as well as Buzillions.com, a network site that shares reviews with the shopping community.
Why is your website not loading correctly?
Occasionally we update our website; these updates are for your benefit and added ease of use. If you are experiencing problems loading our website properly, you may try to "refresh" the page by clicking the "refresh" icon or on some browsers by hitting the "F5" key, if this doesn't help, your browser cache may need to be refreshed. Please try deleting/emptying your browsers cache, this can be done by clicking on your browser settings and then choosing "delete browsing history".

Abe's of Maine reserves the right to decline and cancel an order, or supply less than quantity ordered at any time.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not authorized to Ship any NIKON products outside of the continental US at this time.

Given the popularity and shortage of some items, we may, infrequently, have to restrict the quantity of a particular item ordered. We will notify you if we are unable to accommodate your order. Abe's of Maine may, at its own discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order. We do not sell to dealers, resellers, exporters, wholesalers, or customers who intend on reselling products offered through Abe's of Maine.

We endeavor to publish accurate selling prices for the products we offer. However on occasion we do make mistakes. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing or product information received from our suppliers, Abe's of Maine has the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed incorrectly. Abe's of Maine has the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Abe's of Maine will immediately issue a credit in the amount of the charge. All promotions are subject to current stock. We reserve the right to cancel orders for promotional merchandise that we no longer have in stock. Prices are subject to change. Given the popularity and shortage of some items, we may at times have to restrict the quantity of a particular item ordered. We will notify you if we are unable to accommodate your order. Abe's of Maine may, at its own discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. Please note that we may place a limit of promotions/gift cards to be used per order. Currently we allow only one (1) promotion code per order.

What is the Abe's of Maine Return Policy?
In the event you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly help you exchange or return your product. Please call our toll free number 800 992 2237 for a Return Authorization Merchandise (RMA) number. All products must be in new condition, with all original packaging and accessories. UPC codes must be intact and rebate forms unfilled. No return will be accepted without a return authorization number.

The following items can only be returned if unopened:
A/V Furniture, A/V Receivers, Bluetooth Accessories, Car Equipment, Computer Peripherals, Consumables, DJ Equipment, DVD players, Gaming Consoles, Headphones, Home Theater, Laptops, Microphones, Printers, Projectors Shavers.

The following items cannot be returned:
Fitness equipment, Large Appliances, Microwaves, Wine Coolers, Humidifiers, Trim kits, Security items, Special Order Merchandise, Marine and Camping Equipment, Sunglasses, Watches, Software, TV's, Computer components, laptops, Tablets.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly help exchange or return your product. New and unopened products may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. We cannot accept returns thirty days from your product's shipping date. If you require Technical Support, Manufacturer Warranty information, Product Manuals, or Repair Locations, please contact the manufacturer directly. Returnable products can only be done so if RMA# was obtained within thirty days of the original date of shipment. The returnable product must be 100% complete, in brand new and unused condition, and must be properly repacked in its original packing material, including all manuals, blank warranty cards, and all accessories provided at the time of delivery.

The following items are excluded from our 30 day return policy:
  • A/V Furniture - Cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Large Appliances - Please click here
  • GPS - Have a 14 day return policy.
  • Laptops - Can be returned within 14 days if never opened. If opened and defective, please have it serviced by manufacturer.
  • Printers - Once opened cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Security items - Not returnable, but can be exchanged for the same item when defective, within 7 days.
  • Home Theatre, DVD Recorders, Blu Ray Players, and A/V receivers Once opened, all defects must go through the manufacturer.
  • Apple iPods - If defective, it must go through the manufacturer.
  • Nintendo WII AND WII fit - Cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Consumables - Once opened cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • DJ Equipment - We will not accept returns for any product that contains a hard drive or is a recorder. If the product is defective, you must return it to the manufacturer directly.
  • Software - Once opened, can be exchange for same title only.
  • Projectors - May be returned when defective. Exchanges are for same model number only. If defective, exchanges must be made within 7 days of acceptance of delivery.
  • Shavers - No return or exchange due to health regulations. All defects must go through the manufacturer.
  • Headphones, Microphones and Bluetooth Accessories - Once opened, can be exchanged for the same model within 30 days.
  • Car equipment - Once installed, cannot be returned or exchanged. All defects must go through the manufacturer.
  • Marine and Camping Equipment - Cannot be returned. If defective they may be exchanged for the same item only within 14 days.
  • Helmet Camera - Once opened, cannot be returned if defective. They can be exchanged for same item within 14 days.
  • Computer Peripherals - no exchange or no return on these items.
  • Sunglasses and Watches - Exchange only if Defective within 7 days.
  • Special Order Merchandise - Cannot be returned or exchanged.

Merchandise can be returned only if in original manufacturer's packaging in the same condition as sold, including all literature/instructions/documentation, blank warranty cards, and all supplied accessories. If warranty cards or rebate forms are filled, items cannot be returned for an exchange or refund. Place the manufacturer's box into a shipping carton. Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer's package. Please do not mark the original manufacturer's box with any writing. Ship to us pre-paid. For your protection insure the package and ship via a traceable method. Abe's of Maine is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

The customer is responsible for return shipping to our warehouse. In the case of a defective exchange, Abe's of Maine will provide and pay for outbound shipping of replaced merchandise.

Merchandise that ships via truck cannot be returned for refund or exchange, nor can these orders be cancelled or refused once shipped. (We may refuse your return or charge for return shipping).

TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitor Purchase Policy

TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitor purchases are special orders and can only be canceled prior to the shipment of the order. Customers cannot cancel an order that is en route.

TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitor orders come with full Manufacturer's Warranties. Most include in-home service.

TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitors are not returnable to Abe's of Maine. If initially defective they must be serviced by an Authorized Service Technician. Abe's of Maine can help you locate your nearest Authorized Service Technician.

Upon delivery, it is the consumer's sole responsibility to inspect the TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/ Monitor to insure that it is not physically damaged.

DO NOT SIGN the delivery manifest until you have inspected the TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitor. Once you sign for the item, you are signing acceptance of the product physically as is and CANNOT refute the charges for a physically damaged unit from that point forward.

If the merchandise is damaged, please make a notation on the delivery manifest, and have the delivery person sign as a witness to the damage.

If you are refuse the delivery of an undamaged TV, you are responsible for the shipping, handling, and insurance charges for the delivery BOTH WAYS. Please note that a refund will be issued for the cost of the product only. You will not be reimbursed for the shipping, handling, and insurance charges.

If your television does arrive damaged please contact our customer service department immediately at 800-992-2237 ext. 2 so that we can arrange for a replacement to be shipped out.

Please note that all televisions with 6 or less dead pixels is industry standard for all manufacturer's. There will be no refunds or exchanges for television with 6 or less dead pixels.

Large Appliances Return Policy/Air Conditioners

All appliance/air conditioners purchases are special orders and can only be cancelled prior to the shipment of the order. Customers cannot cancel an order that is en route.

All appliances/air conditioners come with full manufacturer's warranties. Most include in-home service

Appliances/air conditioners are not returnable to Abe's of Maine. If initially defective, they must be serviced by an authorized service technician. Abe's of Maine can help you locate your nearest authorized service technician. This applies to Air Conditioners as well.

If your item does arrive damaged, please contact our customer service department immediately at 1-800-992-2237.

Upon delivery, it is the consumer's sole responsibility to inspect the Large Appliance/air conditioner to insure that it is not physically damaged. If the item is delivered via UPS please contact our customer service department as soon as you can to report the damage.

DO NOT SIGN the delivery manifest until you have inspected the Large Appliance/air conditioner. Once you sign for the item, you are signing acceptance of the product physically as is and CANNOT refute the charges for a physically damaged unit from that point forward.

If the merchandise is damaged, please make a notation on the delivery manifest, and have the delivery person sign as a witness to the damage.

If you refuse the delivery of an undamaged Large Appliance/air conditioner, you are responsible for the shipping, handling, and insurance charges for the delivery BOTH WAYS. Please note that a refund will be issued for the cost of the product only. You will NOT be reimbursed for the shipping, handling, and insurance charges.

Please note: Microwaves, Wine Coolers, Humidifiers Trim kits and other appliance accessories are not returnable.

Fitness Equipment Return Policy

All Fitness Equipment purchases are special orders and can only be cancelled prior to the shipment of the order. Customers cannot cancel an order that is en route.

All fitness equipment includes manufacturer warranties. Most include in-home service.

Fitness Equipment is not returnable to Abe's of Maine. If initially defective, they must be services by an authorized service technician. Abe's of Maine can help you locate your nearest authorized service technician.

If your item does arrive damaged please contact our customer service department immediately at 1-800-992-2237.

Upon delivery, it is the consumer's sole responsibility to inspect the Fitness Equipment to insure that it is not physically damaged.

DO NOT SIGN the delivery manifest until you have inspected the product. Once you sign for the item, you are signing acceptance of the product physically as is and CANNOT refute the charges for a physically damaged unit from that point forward.

Typographical Errors

We strive to publish accurate selling prices for the products we offer. However on occasion we do make mistakes. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing or product information received from our suppliers, Abe's of Maine will have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed incorrectly. Abe's of Maine has the right to refuse or cancel any such orders, whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for a purchase and your order is canceled, Abe's of Maine will immediately issue a credit to your credit card in the amount of the charge.

Price Adjustments

Abe's of Maine's prices are determined by the cost of the product when purchased from our distributor. Due to fluctuating wholesale costs from our distributors prices may vary daily. Abe's of Maine offers the lowest current price possible. We cannot offer price protection since our distributors do not offer it to us. There will be no price adjustments given once your order is shipped. This is the only way we can ensure that we give our customers the best price possible.

NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A RMA #

If any of the above conditions are not met, Abe's of Maine reserves the right to either refuse the return or to charge a restocking fee of not less than 15%. Abe's of Maine will not accept a return of any product that is missing any manufacturer supplied accessories or if there is obvious damage or visible wear and tear to the unit. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Return RMA# are valid for 10 days. Merchandise must reach us within 10 days of receiving the return RMA#. Please call (800)-992-2379 Ext. 2 to get a return RMA number.

Each product sold on this site is packaged with applicable manufacturer's warranty and service information detailing specific terms and conditions. We encourage you to complete the product registration information and return any registration cards to the manufacturer so that they can contact you when necessary. Abe's of Maine is not an authorized reseller of certain products listed for on our website. To be an authorized reseller, manufacturers may require that Abe's of Maine abide by manufacturer's suggested and minimum selling prices* Abe's of Maine would not be able to provide you with low prices if in compliance with certain manufacturer's suggested and minimum selling prices. In instances where Abe's of Maine is not an authorized reseller of the products sold, these manufacturers may decline to offer the manufacturer's warranties that usually accompany the product being purchased. These products may be purchased directly from the manufacturers with such manufacturer's warranties but may not be offered by manufacturers at the deeply discounted prices offered by Abe's of Maine. Abe's of Maine cannot be responsible for the decision of a manufacturer not to offer or abide by such warranties. In the event a manufacturer fails to honor their warranty within a 1 year period, please contact us directly. We usually are able to get the product repaired at no charge to you by our repair center.

What are the rules of the Abe's of Maine photo contest?
Entrant represents and warrants to Abe's of Maine, its affiliates and its advertising sponsors that: (a) he/she is over 18 years of age and a legal resident of the U.S. or the District of Columbia; (b) he/she is the parent or legal guardian of the child in the photograph submitted; (c) he/she has all of the rights and authority necessary to submit the photograph for entry in the contest in compliance with these rules, including the right to publish the photograph, and the right to grant the Promotion Release set forth below; (d) the publication of the photograph will not infringe on the rights of any third party; (e) the photograph submitted has not been digitally, or otherwise, altered; and (h) he/she has read the Abe's of Maine Privacy Policy and agrees to its terms.

PROMOTION RELEASE:
By submitting an entry and participating in the Contest, entrant, for him/herself and on behalf of the child, irrevocably transfers, grants and assigns to Abe's of Maine, its affiliates and its respective successors, assigns, and licensees, the right worldwide and in perpetuity, to use the name, likeness, image and photographs, including any reproductions of same, in any and all media including, without limitation, use on the Abe's of Maine Website, our Facebook Fan Page and promotional emails in connection with the Contest or other promotions, for any advertising or promotional purposes without additional compensation, and releases Abe's of Maine and any entity acting on behalf of Abe's of Maine from any liability with respect thereto. In addition, the photo and caption may be used in promotional emails, site promotions etc.
